Question Bank Integration

1. Persistent Course Repository & Semester Reuse

• Enable instructors to save, categorize, and archive assessment items into a centralized Question Bank indexed by Course Code/Subject Area.

• When assigned the same course load in succeeding semesters, instructors can query past questions by keyword, topic tags, question type, or media status.

2. Targeted Keyword Search (Prompt & Correct Answer Only)

• Search Scope: Keyword searches must match strictly against:

  • The Question Text / Stem

  • The Verified Correct Answer (the text of the correct choice in Multiple Choice, or the correct answer string in Identification/Fill-in-the-Blank)

• Distractor Exclusion: Wrong choices/distractors are excluded from search indexing. If a search keyword appears exclusively inside an incorrect option (e.g., Option B or C when Option A is the answer key), the question must not appear in search results.

• Result Preview: Render the matched question prompt and its verified correct answer directly in the search card for quick review.

3. Visual Search & Media Previews

• Visual Indicator & Filter: Include a dedicated filter and badge for questions containing instructional images, diagrams, or evidence photos (e.g., ballistics, fingerprint patterns, crime scene sketches).

• Thumbnail Previews: Display high-contrast image thumbnails directly in search results so instructors can verify diagrams without opening full edit modals.
