Allow instructors to resolve and reassign flagged or mismerged answer sheets across all sections they teach under the same course code, automatically pushing scores to the correct gradebook. Core Functionality Scoped Search: When resolving an unassigned paper, search queries expand to cover all sections taught by the instructor sharing the same Course Code (e.g., searching within CLJ 1 queries sections A through E, but excludes CLJ 2). Section Tagging: Search results clearly display the student's actual enrolled section (e.g., Juan Dela Cruz | ID: 2024-0012 | Enrolled: CLJ 1-C). Auto-Gradebook Routing: Selecting the student detaches the paper from the current batch and automatically logs the score into the student’s correct section gradebook. Audit Trail: Logs the reassignment timestamp, source batch, destination section, and instructor ID.
Student-Facing Grades, Itemized Answer Breakdown, and Feedback View
Problem Statement Students currently lack visibility into their graded assessments after submission. They can only see aggregate scores (or no feedback at all), preventing them from reviewing their graded answer sheets, seeing which specific items they got wrong, or understanding the reasoning behind their final score. This limits self-learning opportunities and increases repetitive inquiry volume for teachers. Proposed Solution Introduce a detailed "Assessment Results" view in the student portal. This interface allows students to view their overall score, inspect an itemized breakdown of correct vs. incorrect responses, view teacher feedback and answer explanations, and access an annotated version of their graded answer sheet. Acceptance Criteria Score & Grade Overview: Display total points earned, percentage score, letter grade (if applicable), and class averages (if enabled by the teacher) on the main result summary header. Itemized Response Breakdown: List each question with the student's submitted answer, clear correct/incorrect status indicators, and the correct answer key. Explanations & Feedback: Render teacher comments, line-item rubric breakdowns (for short answer/essay questions), and automated answer explanations detailing why points were awarded or deducted. Graded Sheet Display: Provide a digital view or PDF download of the processed answer sheet showing marked responses, system overlay checks, and teacher annotations. Teacher Visibility Controls: Restrict student access to detailed answer keys and graded sheets based on teacher release settings (e.g., release immediately, release on date, or release after all students complete).
Optional Student Answer Sheet Breakdown & Essay Score Visibility
Please add an instructor-controlled setting to reveal detailed checking results directly on the student side. When enabled by the instructor, students should be able to see exactly which question numbers they missed on their answer sheets along with the specific points awarded for each essay prompt. This will give students clear visibility into their performance while leaving grade transparency entirely at the instructor's discretion.
Selective Student Inclusion & Presets for Answer Sheet PDF Generation
Please add an option to select or deselect specific students from the roster right before generating the answer sheet PDF. Instructors need the ability to exclude inactive or absent students so blank answer sheets aren't wasted. The system should also automatically save these selections as the default preset for that specific class, making future PDF exports much faster.
Extended Line Count Selection and Customization for Short Answer and Essay Questions
Problem Statement Currently, line count options for short answer and essay questions are restricted to rigid presets (3, 6, and 12 lines). Test creators need fine-grained control over response areas, requiring convenient options between 3 and 20 lines for standard questions, as well as custom length configurations up to 50 lines for extended essays. Proposed Solution Upgrade the question settings editor to offer an expanded preset list (covering 3 to 20 lines) alongside a custom line count field that accepts custom values up to 50 lines. The answer sheet generator will dynamically recalculate and render response box heights and page pagination based on the defined line count. Acceptance Criteria Presets & Custom Input: Update the line selector to include preset choices from 3 to 20 lines and a "Custom" field supporting up to 50 lines. Input Validation: Restrict custom numerical inputs to a minimum of 1 and a maximum of 50 lines, throwing a validation warning if a user inputs a number outside this range. Dynamic Page Reflow: Automatically scale response boxes and manage multi-page overflow on answer sheets when high line counts (up to 50) exceed a single page. Print & PDF Fidelity: Maintain consistent line height, margins, and crisp horizontal writing rules across all PDF exports and print outputs regardless of the selected line count.
Support Image Attachments in Questionnaire Items for Identification Questions
Problem Statement Questionnaires currently support only text-based questions. Educators and administrators cannot create visual identification questions (e.g., identifying pointed parts on diagrams, labeling objects, or inspecting diagrams/photos), restricting assessment formats to text-heavy prompts. Proposed Solution Enable image uploads within the questionnaire editor for individual question blocks. Authors can insert visual diagrams or photographs with markers (like arrows) to test visual recognition and identification skills. Acceptance Criteria Media Upload: Add an "Attach Image" button to the question builder supporting standard formats (JPEG, PNG, WebP) with file size limits (e.g., max 5MB). Question Display: Render attached images clearly inline above or beside the question prompt on both digital previews and print/export formats. Layout Scaling: Automatically scale and maintain image aspect ratios without distortion or edge clipping. Answer Sheet Integration: Keep images confined to the questionnaire layout while preserving standard question/answer numbering on corresponding answer sheets.
Add Landscape Orientation Option for Answer Sheet Generation
Problem Statement Currently, answer sheets are restricted to portrait orientation. This limits layout efficiency when creating high-question-count sheets, wide multi-column assessments, or forms requiring broader answer blocks, resulting in cramped designs or unnecessary page overflow. Proposed Solution Implement an orientation control (Portrait / Landscape) in the Answer Sheet settings prior to exporting or printing, allowing the system to dynamically reflow grid layouts to fit a horizontal format. Acceptance Criteria Setting UI: Add a "Page Orientation" toggle or drop-down (Portrait vs. Landscape) in the answer sheet configuration modal before export. Layout Reflow: Automatically adjust columns, margins, and question grids to optimize page space when landscape orientation is selected. PDF & Print Support: Ensure exported PDFs and print previews render cleanly in landscape mode without clipping edges or misaligning content. Scanner Alignment: Retain all required optical alignment anchors and barcode/QR markers in valid, scannable positions regardless of orientation.

Technical & UI Specifications Live Camera Viewfinder Canvas: Display a continuous live video stream overlay with 4 green corner targeting reticles. Provide dynamic status indicators at the bottom (e.g., "Align squares in viewfinders", "Waiting on auto-focus", "Paper Found – Grading"). 4-Point Corner Registration Tracking: Implement continuous edge/contour detection to lock onto the 4 solid black square markers printed at each corner of the official answer sheet. Compute real-time perspective homography and un-warp/rectify sheet skew upon 4-point alignment. Top-Right QR Code Detection & Form Binding: Automatically decode the embedded QR code in the top-right corner on every valid frame. Targeted Keyword Search (Prompt & Correct Answer Only) Search Scope: Keyword searches must match strictly against: The Question Text / Stem The Verified Correct Answer (the text of the correct choice in Multiple Choice, or the correct answer string in Identification/Fill-in-the-Blank) Distractor Exclusion: Wrong choices/distractors are excluded from search indexing. If a search keyword appears exclusively inside an incorrect option (e.g., Option B or C when Option A is the answer key), the question must not appear in search results. Feature Request: Export Classlist to XLSX for Instructors
As an instructor, I need the ability to download/export the classlist in my enrolled classes as an Excel (.xlsx) file. Add this feature in the Enrollments not in Gradebook. Data Requirements: The exported spreadsheet must have the student details separated into individual columns. Add an Interactive Quiz Hub to our student portal. To keep the competition fair and engaging for our students, the scoring system be based on Scores and Points system. Functional Requirements: Weighted Scoring System: Accuracy: Correct answers receive base points. Speed Bonus: We need to implement a "Speed-Based Scoring" logic so that students who answer correctly and faster earn higher total points. Formula: Please use the following logic to ensure an accurate ranking: Total Score = (QuestionsCorrect * BasePoints) + (MaxTime - TimeTaken). Tie-Breaker: If two students have the same total points, the student with the lower TotalTimeTaken must automatically rank higher on the leaderboard.
