School admins now have a more guided role creation and permissions management experience.
User and employee profiles now support direct role overrides for edge-case access needs.
Google Classroom, Calendar, Chat, and Group resources are cleaned up more reliably when class integrations are turned off.
Class deletion now includes stronger safeguards to protect academic and admissions records.
Admin experience
School admins can now create roles from preset templates or start from a blank role, then customize permissions before saving.
Role permissions now use a two-pane capability picker with category navigation, live selection counts, search, and an advanced view for more precise permission control.
User and Employee edit screens now allow authorized admins to add or remove direct role overrides outside of designation-based roles.
A direct-overrides notice now appears when a user has roles assigned outside their designation, helping admins spot exceptions that may need a new designation.
Admin experience
Existing custom roles are easier to review and edit: saved permissions are matched back to capability selections where possible, with advanced controls available for unmatched or mixed selections.
The role picker now excludes roles a user already receives through their designations, reducing duplicate or confusing assignments.
Integrations
Turning off Google Classroom, Calendar, Chat, or Groups for a class now also removes the associated external resources where applicable.
Calendar cleanup for classes is more complete, helping prevent outdated class events and meeting links from remaining after integration changes.
Classes
Class deletion now uses clearer safeguards to prevent removing classes that still have active enrollments, grades, submissions, admissions attachments, or protected academic history.
Classes
Removed classes no longer leave behind related teacher or room schedule blocks that could make calendars or rooms appear booked incorrectly.
Admin experience
Direct role overrides are preserved when a userโs designation-based roles are updated.
